Emma and Gerard Owen's story kicked off at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway back in August 2021. Emma was there to cheer on her dad, Chris Barry, who just so happened to be one of Gerard Owen's top rivals on the track. But don't bother asking Emma who she was rooting for; she just wants them both to finish the race in one piece!

Despite the competitive atmosphere, sparks flew between Emma and Gerard Owen. But here's the kicker: Emma left before she could even say goodbye or get Gerard Owen's number. Lucky for them, social media came to the rescue, and Gerard Owen tracked her down on Facebook. After getting the thumbs up from Emma's dad (phew!), they finally went on that first date.

From then on, it was clear to everyone – including Emma and Gerard Owen – that they had something special. By September, they were officially an item, and they haven't looked back since.

Fast forward to November 2023, and Gerard Owen had a surprise up his sleeve during a trip home to Ireland. He had this grand plan to propose in a castle (how romantic, right?). But being the history buff that she is, Emma was too busy admiring the sights and giving short history lectures to notice Gerard Owen trying to pop the question. Luckily, he eventually found his moment before leaving Ireland, and after Emma confirmed that it was really happening, she immediately said yes.

Now, Emma and Gerard Owen can't wait to dive into this next chapter of their lives surrounded by family and friends. With plenty of adventures ahead, they're ready to tackle whatever comes their way – together, of course!
